LAUNE x Cameron Cordial
What began as a creative outlet during lockdown has since evolved into a carefully curated digital world of its own. Cameron Cordial, the creator behind Cordially Invited, first discovered her love for visual storytelling on TikTok, where casual videos soon turned into a genuine passion for content creation. After moving to New York City, Cameron balanced her corporate career with her creative side, sharing snippets of everyday life that felt effortlessly aesthetic.
Below, Cameron shares how she’s navigated building a personal brand in the age of social media, what inspires her creative process, and what’s next for Cordially Invited.
1. Tell me about yourself.
Hi, my name is Cameron and I am originally from Los Angeles, CA. Something not many people know about me is that I was recruited to play D1 water polo at the University of Michigan (go blue). After graduating, I moved to NYC to pursue a career in luxury fashion, which is something I feel I have always naturally gravitated towards.
Over the last few years in my corporate job, I have found myself immersed in the world of luxury timepieces, developing an appreciation for all things watches! Whenever I am abroad I always try to find flea markets to source and resell vintage watches – you can find some of them on @cordially_invited on Insta.
I have always been someone who loves to travel, which started at a young age being lucky enough to explore the world with my mom, shaping much of my curiosity and perspective today. Outside of work and travel, I am obsessed with skincare – I am always trying new products and exploring local pharmacies when I am abroad. And I love to cook! It's very therapeutic and I have two great roomies who can try all of my recipes.
2. Tell me about @cordially_invited.
I started going on TikTok during Covid like the rest of the world, and quickly realized that it sparked a creative side in me that I hadn’t previously tapped into. At the time, I was determined to become a full blown content creator – I even started a YouTube Channel and invested in a Cannon G7x. (spoiler alert: that page has since been deactivated, but maybe it will make a comeback?)
Once I moved to New York City, life got real with a big girl corporate job, but I still found myself carving out time to create content here or there. I began documenting my days in the city, sharing snapshots of my life, which really started to grow my audience. It reminded me how much I adored visual storytelling and that content creation was an avenue I wanted to seriously pursue.
From there, I started refining my approach, shaping Cordially Invited into a more intentional space – one that blends travel, skincare, fashion, and beauty into a cohesive reflection of my world and aesthetic.
3. What is your LAUNE (mood)?
My mood is refined with a touch of edge. I have always been drawn to contrast – the way something can feel polished yet undone.
4. What inspires you?
The people I surround myself with, I am so in awe of my family, friends, and co-workers. I am really lucky to have a strong group of like minded individuals that are always supporting each other. With that being said, most of my inspiration comes quietly, from moments in my day that hold unexpected meaning and influence.
5. What do you love about New York City?
I love the chaos of New York City. There is always something going on, something to do, someone to meet, etc. I find that the city is always keeping me on my toes and more importantly keeping me motivated. There’s not many places in the world that offer the breadth of opportunities that New York City does – I truly have learned so much about myself throughout the last five years I have lived here. The city has a way of showing you who you are.
6. What’s next for you?
So many things! I have a few trips to Europe on the books which I am so excited for. Career wise, I am looking forward to continuing to grow within the company I work for. I am also super passionate about continuing in content creation — I love sharing my life with the small community I have built and would love to have the chance to collaborate with some of my dream brands… hopefully I can make that happen!
