Originally from Miami and now based in New York, Kelly Zirbel is a creative with a sharp eye. Her work and personal style reflect an appreciation for clean design and visuals that feel effortless and intentional. Drawing inspiration from good interiors, her mom’s easy sense of style, and the energy of the city, Kelly shares more about NYC, her creative process, and what’s been shaping her world lately.

1. Tell me about yourself.

I am 23 years old, born and raised in Florida. I lived in Miami for the past few years where I attended the University of Miami. It was truly the best college experience, but it’s funny, because I really was never on campus, I was always doing my own thing and was really uninvolved.

A year and a half ago I moved to New York. I’ve always wanted to live here and always dreamed about working in fashion or media and video. On the side, I love to share my outfits and little daily vlogs and rituals. YouTube has always been my favorite platform to share on. I’ve been filming vlogs since high school, through Miami, and now here in NYC. I think it’s always been a good anchor and creative outlet for me.

2. What is your LAUNE (mood)?

I feel like people always describe me as chill, I’m pretty go-with-flow, but then on the other hand, if I’m passionate about something I can be a bit crazy, almost obsessively focused.

3. What inspires you?

I always feel inspired by architecture and interiors – I love a well-decorated space. And, my mom – she has great style.

4. What drives your creative process and content?

A mix of intuition and intention. I’m obsessed with creating visuals that feel elevated and effortless, but overall, I’ve always just loved editing videos. Since I was a kid, I think that’s the main thing I loved to do, I would force my brothers to be in all my little home movies and eventually it became a really safe outlet for me.

5. What do you love about New York?

Being from Florida, I’m still in the phase where I love the seasons. But most of all – I love the ambitious, creative energy.

6. What are you looking forward to this winter?

I love the colder months because I can slow down – watching movies, cozy dinners, and of course, winter fashion.

7. What’s next for you?

A lot! Career wise, I am working on growing my creative work and collaborating with brands I genuinely love. I hope to travel a good amount this year as well, and hopefully go down to Miami a few times.
